An empathetic view of the archetypal musical artist that struggled behind the lime light and eventually succumbed to legal and/or illegal substance abuse leading to their demise.
lyrics
U4rian Fame
Verse1
Fanatical screams can still be heard from backstage,
but little does anyone known, behind that dressing room door is a spirit inside a keyless cage…
All we’re shown is the praise, accolades and titles,
Living legend, multi-platinum selling, Icon, Idol…
The money, the mansions, the acceptance…
After party sex offers from all directions…
“they can have anything they want in the world” is the perception,
but the high expectations of others can smoother…
and blue is more than a color when one silently suffers,
fake smiles and waves in paparazzi pic’s start to show the strain…
and signing autographs begin to feel like it’s all in vain…
but who measures the loss or gain,
When no one is let in to see how deep is the pain...
then came that hit… [that’s it]
Ohhhh…undeniable bliss…. Who could resist…
Summoning of the numbing…
That Seemed to end all the running…
-at least for now-
Verse 2
In the search for heaven on earth…
was the finding of mind altering substance to rid the hurt,
a clouded relief, of some form of release…
or At least a little piece of peace!!!!!!
Left with clues between words during personal interviews..
but All the make up in the world can’t cover up certain truths…
or how a onetime experience,
Turned into over use, abuse, dependence,
Now Unquenchable cravings relentless,
After shows The unnoticeable slow leaving…
Of a Weakening spirit every evening…
It’s not easy to see what lurks in others hearts,
Especially when all surrounding eyes are focused on the top 10 charts,
Notoriety from successful tours and awards,
Start to Mean very little when losing an ongoing inner war,
Late night Fights with friends over trips to that temporary paradise…
And the come back gripes of sacrifice and life in the lime light,
No one really knows the plight of that voice behind the mic…
They say souls can be sold, if so who sets the price…
hook-
night after night…[night after night]
the crowd the the hype [the crowd the hype]
the stage the lites [the stage the lites]
the music, the life, u4orian fame…
In remembrance of our musical greats that crossed over due to alcohol, illegal or prescription drug related abuse. Your physical presents will always be Missed but Threw your music you will forever be with us in sound and spirit.
